Dr. Amnon Rafael is a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (LL.B 1965) and of the Law School of New York University (LL.M 1969 and J.S.D. 1970). He is the author of the leading textbook on Israeli taxation. He has written numerous articles on taxation and authored the Portfolio on Israel in the Tax Management series as well as the chapter on Israel in Spitz's Tax Havens Encyclopedia. He taught taxes at Israeli universities and frequently appears before professional audiences. He has represented and given legal advice to Israel's major banks, industrial companies and many high net-worth individuals. He has litigated many tax cases, some of which have become leading precedents. He advises many corporations which employ his specially designed tax plans for their business, mergers & acquisitions and restructuring. A special and significant part of his practice concerns the international taxation of corporations and high net-worth individuals. Amnon Rafael was the head of the Rafael Committee, which suggested a reform of Israel's international taxation rules, a member of the Schesinsky Committee in 1989 and the Ben-Bassat Committee in 2000, which proposed major reforms of the Israeli tax system.

Shlomi Lazar

Shlomi Lazar is a lawyer as well as a Certified Public Accountant. He is a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in accounting and economics (1997) and in law (2003) and a graduate of the Haifa University in Statistics (Actuary, 2005). He was licensed as a CPA in 2004 after serving six years in the budget department of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and The Financial Advisor to the Chief of Staff. Since 2005 he is practicing tax and corporate law with Dr. Rafael. Most of his practice is in the realm of tax law and transactions of a complex nature, mainly those involving corporate reorganizations, the incorporation and capitalization of new high-tech entities and tax planning for venture capital, funds and start-ups. He has contributed to the 4th edition of the leading textbook on Israeli taxation and he frequently publishes with Dr. Rafael, articles on taxation matters in leading economic newspapers.
